Are you receiving an endless "Validating Identity" connection status when trying to connect to a wireless network.
In a few simple steps you can bypass Windows Validation, and the resulting "Limited or No Connectivity" issue on an encrypted connection.
Home Edition, etc.): You have now succesfully configured Windows XP to connect to eduroam network.
In order to connect to eduroam network in future, simply bring up Wireless Network Connection window by double-clicking its icon in the tray bar , select eduroam network and click on Connect.
Step 6 Select the Connection tab and check the Connect when this network is in range box.
In order to configure the connection back to Automatic, edit the eduroam profile, go to the Connection tab and check Connect when this network is in range: Figure 14: Setting Automatic connection  = If the Wireless Network Connection icon is not present, this may be due to the wireless network manager of your vendor's card taking over from Windows' built-in one (Wireless Zero Configuration).
Select your encryption type from the "Network Authentication" and "Data Encryption" drop downs.
Uncheck "The key is provided for me automatically" and enter and confirm your Network key.
Please refer to the documentation of your vendor's card in order to turn it off as this may interfere with the procedure here documented.
